Essential oils for Ear Support
Essential oils are wonderful for ear support.
To use essential oils for the ears:
- Dilute according to age. Remember skin around and just inside the ear is sensitive. In general for babies use 1 drop of essential oils per Tablespoon of carrier oil, for children use 1 drop per Teaspoon carrier oil and for adults use 3-5 drops of oil per teaspoon of carrier.
- Rub on bone behind ear, around inside (visible) skin of the ear and/or apply to a cotton ball or pad.
- If applying to a cotton ball or pad fold it so the oils do not directly touch the ear canal and put in ear. You can use a bandaid to help keep it in place. * Please do not use unattended on young children that may take it off and try to eat it.
Soothing oils*: Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Frankincense, Serenity blend
Supportive oils*: Melaleuca, Basil
Blend 1-2 oils from each list to maintain happy, healthy ears for your little ones!
*Never drop essential oils directly into the ear
