doTERRA\u2019s brand new Adaptive System focuses on supporting feelings of anxiousness, stress, fear and feelings of being overwhelmed.\u00a0 <\/span>I like to refer to it as the \u201cmental health system\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>I have struggled with feeling anxious over the years, and while it\u2019s a million times better than it used to be, sometimes it creeps up. Usually my first sign is my heart begins to race and pound. Typically I will do deep breathing,\u00a0 <\/span>say a prayer and apply whatever my current favorite calming oil is, such as Copaiba<\/a> or doTERRA’s Peace blend. But since it’s come out I\u2019ve been taking one of the doTERRA Adaptive complex capsules when my heart starts racing and I become much calmer within 20 minutes!<\/span><\/p>\n

The second or third time I used the Adaptive complex I decided to watch the clock to see how long it took me to feel better. Well, it worked so well that I forgot to notice the time because I wasn\u2019t noticing my heart racing anymore. I am a BIG fan of these y’all. We are hearing the most incredible stories coming from the thousands of people using the oil and the Adaptive complex capsules!<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note: If you are on an antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication and wanting to try these capsules you need to talk to your doctor. There have been positive testimonies of people who have been able to use these regardless but everyone is different.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n

The doTERRA Adaptive system<\/h3>\n

The Adaptive system has three parts to it: a diluted Touch roller (topical application), a 15mL bottle of the Adaptive oil blend (aromatic use), and the Adaptive complex capsules (internal use). The system covers all three ways in which doTERRA oils<\/a> can be used for the ultimate support. <\/span><\/p>\n

While I am passionate about all of this system I specifically want to break down the Adaptive Capsules and share why they work so powerfully. These capsules aren\u2019t just the oil blend made into a capsule, they contain different oils and so much more in addition. <\/span><\/p>\n

doTERRA Adaptive blend<\/span><\/h3>\n

This beautiful-smelling oil blend contains a blend of <\/span>Wild Orange, Lavender, Copaiba, Spearmint, Magnolia, Rosemary, Neroli, and Sweetgum. There are four oils in the capsules two are the same as the blend, Lavender and Wild Orange but the capsules are different otherwise.<\/span><\/p>\n

doTERRA Adaptive Complex<\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s dive into the non-oil ingredients of the doTERRA Adaptive complex capsule: Sceletium, GABA, and Ahiflower. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sceletium | Calm it all down<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Sceltium<\/a> is a plant from South Africa, it has a very long historical use as a traditional medicine used by tribes in South Africa. They called it Kana.\u00a0 <\/span>There are records going back to 1662 which state that they used this plant to enhance mood, cause relaxation and induce euphoric feelings. They would pick the plant, bury it to ferment it, then dry it. After it was dry they would chew it, smoke it, or snuff it to produce its potent benefits. <\/span><\/p>\n

The reason Scletium has a calming effect on the body is due to a group of alkaloids, <\/span>notably mesembrine, mesembrenol and tortuosamine. T<\/span>hese compounds interact with receptors in the brain enhancing the production of dopamine (pleasure chemical in brain) and prolong the activity of serotonin (critical to us feeling happy). Ingesting the herb makes you have a tremendous feeling of well-being and increases mental alertness and heightened awareness. If you get that dull, low-mood feeling this is certainly a healthier option than a triple espresso shot in your coffee! <\/span><\/p>\n

In one study of the effects of Sceletium reported in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, the main alkaloids of the plant demonstrated the capacity to extend the activity of serotonin. This activity is known as SSRI, or selective serotonin absorption inhibition. How amazing that God gave us such powerful help through a plant!<\/span><\/p>\n

GABA<\/span>| The brakes of the brain<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

When you\u2019re anxious your brain starts firing off thoughts, your heart starts racing, maybe you shake and have irrational thoughts about safety, your children, etc. Worry, stress, fear and anxious feelings cause our brain to be over-excited. GABA’s<\/a>‘s job is to put the brakes on that over-excitedness and shift your body into low gear. Gaba inhibits neural activity and inhibits over-firing of nervous system so it reduces mental and physical strain. <\/span><\/p>\n

GABA is extremely calming on a neurological level. The daily recommended amount for GABA is 500mg and d\u014dTERRA’s Adaptive complex contains 100mg,\u00a0 so you do not need to worry about <\/span>the side effects of taking too much GABA. The dosage is 1 capsule but I have taken two or three over the course of a day, when needed. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you are prone to anxious feelings<\/a> you\u2019ll want to take yours in the morning and if you struggle with sleeping you\u2019ll want to take it in the evening. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ahiflower <\/span>| Omega superhero<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Ahiflower<\/a> is amazing! It is a plant from the UK that contains high amounts of our essential daily omegas. Ahiflower oil is<\/span> truly an unrivaled omega source. It contains more and healthier omegas than any other natural plant or seed oil. Ahiflower is a naturally wild, and now cultivated, agricultural crop grown by farmers in the United Kingdom. Each Ahiflower bloom produces up to four seeds. These seeds are pressed to produce a superior omega-rich, healthy oil with a higher quality and higher quantity of omegas than any other seed oil ever discovered. Ahiflower contains more total and biologically advanced plant omegas (like stearidonic acid, SDA) than flax, chia, and hemp seed oils. Wow! <\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

Unlike flax, Ahiflower also contains GLA, an essential omega-6 fatty acid associated with skin health, hormonal balance, and anti-inflammatory support.. GLA is typically taken as a supplement made from evening primrose oil or borage oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

doTERRA Adaptive: For mental wellness<\/h3>\n

Now do you understand why I am a big fan of this capsule and the whole doterra adaptive system? We\u2019re getting all these great omegas that are great for our brain, our heart, and calming inflammatory responses. We\u2019re getting GABA that tells our brains to SLOW DOWN, Sceltium to calm and clear brain fog and get back on track. Then we have the added benefit of doTERRA\u2019s CPTG essential oils Lavender and Wild Orange for calming, plus Coriander and Fennel to counteract low energy and nervousness – all in one capsule! <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been carrying the pre-diluted Adaptive Touch oil roller bottle wherever I go and applying it as needed on my wrists and chest. It smells beautiful.
