In reply to Malia Chow. döTERRA has actually looked into this and shipping empty bottles back to them has a greater negative impact on the environment than simply recycling them locally with your glass recycling. Or better yet reusing them as mentioned here.

In reply to makala. The environment is very important to me. I am thinking of discontinuing my long time membership to doTerra because of the plastic caps and containers and lack of a recycling program. I have about 50 30 empty bottles and about 100 more..
